Christmas!

We had a wonderful Christmas and Kaitlyn enjoyed every minute of it. So much so, she didn't want to sleep after the family get-togethers. She was completely spoiled and has lots of new toys to play with as well as a few new outfits. We were planning on opening a few more gifts with her this morning and Ryan and I were going to open our gifts from each other, but Ryan's gift still hasn't arrived (I ordered it off ebay) so we are postponing this until his arrives. Ryan is anxiously waiting to go out Boxing Day shopping but Kaitlyn was so exhausted, she's still napping. Once she wakes up, we'll be out the door to try to find some bargains.

Here are a few photos from the past few days. I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas and we wish you blessings in 2007!

Lack of Posts - Update

Sorry I haven't been too faithful with posting lately. We're busy getting ready for the holidays (our shopping is almost done - this has to be a record for us!) and other than that, there's not too much to report. We decided to use Boxing Day as our own family Christmas Day this year with just us and Kaitlyn. Suddenly creating traditions seems important now that we have a family of our own. We'll do gifts in the morning when Kaitlyn is the happiest and do something special like a walk or see Christmas lights in the afternoon/evening.

Our cable was out most of the day (which also included internet) so I decided to try and tackle Kaitlyn's cradle cap. I did manage to get most of it out after soaking her head in baby oil for about 15-20 minutes and then combing her hair (well, the hair she has anyways) so at least I can say I managed to get something done today!

We're hoping to get a real tree this year and put it up soon - I'll post pics when that happens. We also bought Kaitlyn a mesh food feeder yesterday and tried some pears in it for her today. She seemed a little scared by it and hasn't figured out there is food inside yet. I'll try again tomorrow. Have a good week everyone!

Kaitlyn's 6 Month Pictures

Here are Kaitlyn's 6 month pictures. I think they turned out rather well. She doesn't smile huge yet because she has such chubby cheeks, but she is my cutie pie (even if she is a chunky cutie pie).

This is the one we ordered our 8x10 for the wall of:

And this is the one we ordered most wallets of:

I wasn't planning on ordering this one at first, but when I saw it in black and white, I knew I would regret not ordering it (those are my hands):

She had such a great time in the basket, chewing on it, chewing on the blanket, and was so proud she was sitting on her own:

Kaitlyn's First Mum Mum Cracker

I know, not usually one for the baby books, but today I bought a box of Mum Mum crackers and decided to let her give it a try. She really wasn't that thrilled at first, but seemed shocked I was letting her eat something by herself. She just looked too cute not to take a few snapshots.
